To provide participants with best practice models and principles for representing, engaging and collaborating with immigrant, refugee, and faith communities in their violence prevention projects and programs.
Module Objectives / Outcomes
- Participants can apply a complex understanding of ‘culture’ to the issue of preventing violence against women in immigrant and refugee communities.
- Participants can describe best practice models and principles for engaging with immigrant and refugee communities in violence prevention.
- Participants can explain the issues involved in engaging with faith-based leaders in the prevention of violence against women and describe key factors that should be considered when doing so.
