Program Officer
Yue coordinates the Hand in Hand project for carers and people with life limiting illnesses. She completed a BA and MA in Journalism in China and a PhD in International Studies in Australia. Her research explores how structural inequality shapes social discourses on responsibility and influences women’s perceptions of their bodies and health choices. As a newly arrived migrant, Yue is passionate about understanding how people’s migration and transnational experience shapes their health behaviours. She hopes to improve immigrant and refugee women’s health and wellbeing through her work and research. As well as her local dialect, Yue speaks English and Mandarin.
