Conference keynote speakers announced!

In almost a months' time, we will be hosting Advancing the Evidence, a national conference on migrant and refugee women's sexual and reproductive health. Over two days, Advancing the Evidence will share current evidence, new research, and innovative and proven practices to contribute to and improve immigrant and refugee women’s sexual and reproductive outcomes.

We're therefore so excited to announce Dr Alice Han, and Dr Jasmine Abdulcadir as our international guest speakers!

Dr Han is a Canadian obstetrician and gynaecologist and TEDx speaker with a global health background. Her research focuses on the intersection of violence against women (VAW), reproductive health outcomes and health system response. Working in over ten countries, she has worked at the World Health Organization Collaborating Centre, Partners in Health, Harvard Medical School and WHO-UNHCR-UNFPA Clinical Management of Rape Survivors.

Dr Abdulcadir is also an obstetrician and gynaecologist based in Geneva. She is one of the four members of the international "G3" network on FGM/C and in 2018, and was awarded a knighthood from the Italian Republic for her work in FGM/C. She is a published researcher who has worked as a consultant for the Department of Reproductive Health and Research, Adolescents and at-risk populations team, World Health Organization (WHO), Swiss Network and Swiss Migration Secretary on FGM/C issues.

Dr Han and Dr Abdulcadir will be joining an incredible lineup of over 50 speakers for the conference. We're so pleased to have them on board and can't wait to announce the rest of our line up!
