Bilingual Health Educator

I have worked as a teacher, translator/interpreter,  for over 20 years both in Australia and in Europe, prior to joining MCWH.

I joined MCWH in 2021 as a Bilingual Health Educator, catering for the Greek and Italian communities. My fluency in these two languages and my love for community work made my transition from the Education Department as a secondary school teacher to educating migrant and refugee women easy.

During my free time I engage in volunteer and community work at various Greek and Italian senior citizens’ clubs, hospitals, community schools, religious institutions, home visits for the elderly or children with disabilities.

Even though I am currently employed by MCWH (part time), I am often called upon by schools to carry out CRT work (casual relief teacher) or assist in teacher-training and professional development programs, or to organize and conduct educational seminars and community presentations.

Above all, the highlight of my personality is that I am and always will be passionately dedicated to Multiculturalism and Education.
